GTA is better because it has a fairly strong story, interesting characters, more involved and varied missions, flying vehicles, and more humor.
Crackdown is better because it has a far superior engine and graphics, more freedom of movement, more intense action, great boss encounters, it's more "pick up and play," and you can throw cars at people.
It depends on what you're looking for.
Saying that CD is a rip off of GTA is just ignorance.

I love my Mac, but I can understand why people would look at jumping to a PC laptop right now--Windows 2000 on the laptop work gave me is just as stable as OS X, and if I was in the market for a laptop now, I'd seriously consider a Vaio. Compare the stats and the PowerBook loses every time, even if you ignore MHz completely, and actually believe Apple's rigged Photoshop tests. There's a reason Apple's PowerBook sales are down, only the fanatics are buying at this price-performance ratio. Hell, Sony has a reputation for charging through the nose for style and the Sony brand name, but Apple's even worse.

I guess you're asking how to encapsulate the animation behavior so it can be easily reused. Good question.
I haven't implemented this so I can only give you some ideas off the top of my head.
One way would be to write an animatingView class. This view has a couple methods that animate the view onscreen and offscreen. Create one of these views. Add any subviews that you like. The animating view has to be added to the view hierarchy (addSubview) with a frame that is offscreen and then animated onscreen and later animated offscreen. The view also has to be removed from the view hierarchy (removeFromSuperview) once its animation offscreen has completed.
Another way is to add the functionality, which is several methods, to a UIViewController subclass and then derive all of your other view controllers from this subclass.
It's also possible that you could add the functionality to UIViewController with a category. It seems that there's probably no state that needs to be maintained so you don't need to add any ivars. Just a few methods. Adding this as a category might be a good way to do this.
Without implementing it myself I'm not sure which of these strategies will work and which is the best.

I purchased one from ifixit.com brand new about 6 months ago and it died a couple weeks ago. I went back today and they have none in stock. I checked on eBay and they have after-market ones that look like they will do more harm then good. Is there anyone else that sells apple parts?
I bought 2 for travel purposes and never really used it if you are interested pm me thanks

There's that guy that's so dang bad at making video game adaptions...what's his name? I was so pissed when I heard HE was doing the Castlevania movie. Thankfully it went on hold for another year waiting for snow...
Some games COULD make great video games...like the FIRST Resident Evil...that was spooky and cool...creepy house, zombies, great. Why they chose what they did...?
GeOW is great coop gameplay and a lame story/dialgoue...there are some actions that would be kind of fun in a movie...like the spotlight bit and the bat things (I started playing it with sound off due to the horrible dialogue and don't know proper names) could make interesting action scenes... but I'd be banking on horrible with the past successes...but maybe someone will pull a Spider Man /Blade and revive the genre.

My only guess is that the second one is a Bat Man ride???
Matthew
Nope. I can see why you thought it might have been Batman, as both the ride-in-question and Batman are ``inverted'' roller coasters. Good try.
Just a hint guys, from what does the said coaster appear to have track coming out?
Surely there must be Virginians on this forums. :D Oops, did I say where it was?

Hi guys.
Ive done a bit of searching round but couldnt find a definite answer.
Im currently selling my copy of Logic Studio 8.
However, someone has asked me if i have already registered the product, which i have, and was wondering if they will have any problems using the software when they get it? Also will they be able to register it in their name?
Thanks

On the topic of Apple Store from 1997, does anyone have archives of old on-line www.apple.com from the years 1999-2004? I am interested in seeing those PowerPC ads from the last 10 years.. I know there is an archive of older www.apple.com websites showing the PowerMacs, PowerBooks, etc..
Check out wayback machine (http://waybackmachine.org/*/http://apple.com).

Whoa, I'm all for that! Think the last "olympic" style game I played was the Winter Olympics on the Amiga, and before that Starfish Olympics (IIRC?) was a great silly game.
Sonic in SSBB? I just can't picture Sonic in a well made 3D game.

I wouldn't recommend a pan type head for landscape photography either. Maybe it was because I only used cheap quality pan heads (the ones they put on junk tripods) but a good quality ballhead is far superior to that. Once the tension is set properly, you can simply grab the camera, adjust it on the ballhead to whatever arbitrary orientation you want, and when you let go it stays in place. No muss, no fuss, no messing with locking down 3 separate axis levers, etc. Just put the camera where you want it and it stays, period.
A pan head is most useful in video applications because you can easily pan one axis independently and smoothly, with a ballhead the panning motion won't be quite as smooth.

What have you read?
What have you tried?
Have you read the USB Device Interface Guide?
http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/DeviceDrivers/Conceptual/USBBook/USBIntro/USBIntro.html
Have you looked at the other references on the first page of that guide?
Have you looked at the sample code referenced on the first page of that guide?
Have you joined Apple's USB mailing list and asked there?

Many thanks. I am surprised and thought computers were ideal for such a job so that there would be either stand-alone software available or such an app would be part of the programs for bibliographies. Manual it is then...

Ok, so here is the deal. I have recently found my old apple 2.1 iphone lying around from a couple years back. I'm currently on t-mobile and wanted to know how to unlock my iphone for the apps and ability to use on t-mobile. Any help would be appreciated.
--iphone 2.1 - Modem firmware 04.05.04_G (yes, this is probably outdated - havent been used in a long time )
--Itunes 10
--Mac OS X version 10.6.6
thank you
Are you talking about the Iphone 2G with the silver/black in the back? if so, restore in itunes so it has the latest firmware which is 3.1.3.
once you've done so, then unlock it by following the link her;

I'll be sticking with my iPhone 4 regardless of any improvements.
Ditto. I just want iOS 5. I couldn't care less about any hardware upgrades.

Also waiting... :) My current iPod 5G Video just stopped playing sound out of both channels, what a coincidence.. Still ordered a new jack stick though, 3 including shipping from Hong Kong, that's manageable.. :D
But a new iPod for waiting 3 weeks, oh yeah.. I'll also have time to read about the new models in the mean time.
