I'm looking for something like this...

I'm getting her a Touch for her birthday, and she'll keep it in her shoulder bag when she's not using it, which means, keys, chapstick, and whatever else could be in there too. Gotta have a flap to cover the screen.

Well, technically they do! However shipping is a bit expensive and i'm hoping they WILL actually ship it. I requested overnight shipping on Wed, and it looks like I am going to have to wait til monday to get the part. not to happy...

My friend texted me asking if I wanted an old iMac for free, I obviously said yes. It is a snow 600MHz iMac G3 with 512MB of RAM, 40GB HD, and it works wonderfully. I'm currently looking for my 10.4 disks and going to install Tiger on it. Can't wait.

What file are you trying to download? Do you have a link. I can Dow oaf to airsharing, or file browser. Do you have a file handling app at all?

I may go there or to Tice's. It's not as busy at Tice's. GS Plaza is a mad house on the weekends and I can't imagine it at an event like this.

This is simply not accurate I'm afraid.
The 27" ACD works absolutely fine with the Apple OEM 5770 upgrade card with MDP, also with the 5870. After all, why would Apple sell these graphic cards if they didn't work with their only display? Further, my 5870 and 27" ACD get along like a house on fire. Note that you have to buy the Apple cards, not just a standard PC card like you seem to be implying
The first generation of ATI 5-series cards for PC didn't actually didn't follow the DisplayPort port specifications properly, and do have compatability issues with Apple products. That being said, your absolutely right peskaa, the issues were fixed with Apple OEM cards (but ppl who want to throw in any PC card just beware the 5- series cards are hit and miss on compatibility).

I'm guessing that this is a bug that would be fixed in the future when OS X supports writing to NTFS volumes natively.
So, if you want to share something on your Mac over the network, and you want to define users and their permissions, you should make sure that the folders that you're sharing are on a drive or partition formatted to HFS+.
Ah nice, but don't expect OSX to support writing to NTFS in the future. The way that things like 3G-NTFS or whatever write to a NTFS volume is sort of hacky anyway. If you can, I would look into using exFAT now instead of NTFS (if that works for your environment).

My MacBookPro 2,4 Ghz 15' Santa Rosa doesn't start. Every time I try to start the computer it just says that I need to restart and it goes on and on with the same message.
The monitor has stripes of red/purple over a purple blueish background. And all this happens 2,5 years after buying it. I would like to know if this repair program will be extended to Portugal, when the claim will be won after December 2010.
I do hope so and Apple must be aware of the quality of the parts she is buying for their computers.
It's the second time I have this problem in 4 years with 2 different computers, although the first time the motherboard was replaced within the warranty time.
I can't answer the question on the breadth of this decision. However, I am not going criticize Apple in this instance because they were far from alone. It is very possible that the versions Apple got for testing were just fine.
Overheating of the GPUs caused the problem, and if you weren't stressing the GPU, you might not run into this problem immediately. BIOS updates and Firmware updates went out to downclock the GPUs, but for some it was too late. I supported an office where practically every Dell laptop had to have its motherboard replaced because of the defective GPU. It got to the point where I would call Dell support, and they wouldn't question me at all.
nVidia also couldn't (wouldn't?) identify the specific bad chips, unlike the "exploding" battery issue of a few years ago when that manufacturer KNEW which batch was bad. How could Apple, or any of the other manufacturers, know which machines with these chips were affected? I have an MBP from this time range, and I haven't had any problems, thank goodness. Others have not been so fortunate.
You can criticize Apple for a lot of design decisions, but this issue is firmly nVidia's.

Drupal for me as well. We've created prototype web sites with all the bells and whistles (points, badges, rules, social media, forums, inbox, etc.) in next to no time. We were also able to create custom modules that tied into very regimented systems.
I haven't had a chance to look at 7 yet.

When I used to shoot weddings I did photo journalist type of photos. Doing 3 hours of posed photos would be a nightmare. ;)

That's not an error, just a warning or message telling you the following: in one of the default R packages called "datasets" there is also a variable called "sleep," and since you're using attach() on a different variable also called sleep, you won't be able to access the sleep variable in the "datasets" package in the same way anymore. When you ask for "sleep," R will use your version.
If you're familiar with namespaces or global variables vs. local variables in any other programming language, it's similar to that. If not, basically, it's telling you there are two things called "sleep," and since you've told R to use yours, the other one is now hidden or "masked."
I'd suggest not using the attach() function, and just accessing variables through the $ operator. Do fp1c$sleep instead, or use data=fp1c if you're using it in a function like lm() or something.

I have a 15" PBG4 1.25ghz and am having some screen artifacts show up. Everything is running fine otherwise. I haven't used this machine at all in months and I'm trying to clean it up to sell it. Any info would be helpful.

I have to Test Illustrator / Quark files for Compatibility (specially fonts,etc)
I think the best way will be with Remote Desktop. I have used Remote Desktop for PC to PC and it�s perfect for what I need and I expect it should work as well in MAC.
