Yes.....You are ! So what if you get a dropped call once in a while? Some people take it to far sometimes. I live in a rural area and it is rare that my Internet goes down and if it does, I just reboot it and it works !

I was going to get the first tube to Covent garden which gets in at 5:44. The bus is always an option though...
I'm beginning to consider not going to bed at all, going to my meagre 2hours of lectures from 9-11am (depending on whether I have my iPad 2 in hand, I'm really not bothered if I miss them) and then get some sleep in the afternoon.
So yeah, 4am would be good for me unless you wanted to get there a bit earlier? I imagine most people would be getting the first tube in actually...

Apple has had so much trouble getting the white iPhone to market, it almost seems anti-climactic now. I was going to get one originally, but I'm locked into my contract now so it's irrelevant.
Seems like Apple could have left the colors to after-market suppliers, for those customers desperate for a certain look.

just spoke to someone at the apple store in the grove, they said grove security wont let people line up till 7am but i still plan on getting their earlier... also the parking structure is open 24/7 so you can enter at any time

Anyways, good to see consoles finally getting head tracking, but I'm curious about how far they've gone, if it actually supports 6 DOF, or if it's just x and y, which given the console's hardware might be the case.
And that part showing the father and son air-wheeling it on the couch was lame.
GT5 has always had head tracking, and it will always be a better simulator than Forza will ever hope to be. Will GT compare to PC sims, probably not, but Forza is far more concerned with "pimp my ride" than it is with being a simulator (has to appeal to the teenage male audience xbox attracts). I'll stick with GT, its the most realistic driving sim on any console, and always will be.

As the title says my mother has an original iPad and her iPad is at 3.2.1 or whatever 3.2 or something. Anyways, my question is where can I get the 4.2.1 software for the iPad. If I restore in iTunes right now I will get 4.3. I dont want that. I want 4.2.1! Any way to do that? She is interested in jailbreaking her pad! Thanks in advance...

I wonder if there's a "law" (aka rule of thumb) that defines how far ahead "cutting edge" supercomputer processing speeds are, versus "typical" consumer systems and mobile devices. In other words, is today's fastest supercomputer 10,000X as fast as a current iMac, which in turn is 100X as fast as a typical iPhone. I think it would be very interesting to chart that graph historically -- to see that today's iPhone is perhaps twice as fast as the first CRAY-1, and roughly equivalent to a PowerMac G3. :apple:

When you access the track editor there should be a checkbox to follow tempo and pitch, see if it's checked, if so uncheck it.

It does not matter if iMovie2 saved it as DV or iMovie5 saved it as DV, right?
It's coming out of the ADVC300 as DV and iMovie is simply saving that as a file on your computer.
to be frank, i would wait for the new computer which will have imovie11 bundled. i have no idea what early versions of imovie do to footage on import, but it's probably not nice.
It's the newer versions of iMovie that "do stuff" to your video on import. The last version of iMovie I used was '06, and that would import DV like a file transfer from tape to hard drive. You'd need to fetch the fainting salts if you were to tell me '05 and earlier meddled with DV footage on import.

hi guys, i repaired the windows using the cd but it still goes to the black screen with the blinking cursor on the top left after holding option and clicking my bootcamp partition... any other solutions?

How about 1080p movies in full screen mode? Does it look bad? Do you guys prefer watching it through a window at 1080p?
1080p, or even 720p should be fine. Moving picture is different because you don't concentrate in small details but try to read text in Safari at 1920x1080 and it will look pixel-ish, something that you don't want.

99% of times it is WM9. To prevent the plugin from loading go '/Library/Internet Plugins' and trash or move
"Windows Media Plugin". I have created a folder called Disabled, I move it to there, and if I want it I move it back to the plugins directory.

I picked up a white one also, switching from a 3GS. Sure, played around with other friends' i4 but actually ownership is great.

If I use iMovie3 (3.0.3) and iMovieHD 5 (5.0.2), will there be a quality difference in the raw unedited DV-material of film 1 and film 2?
The source material is analogue.Wow! Just wow. First, your movie editor cannot change your source footage. Second, DV is Digital Video. If you have analog video, then it impossible for it to be DV.

It's a good guess. I was a happy NNW user, but despite having paid for the software, I still switched to Google Reader about a year ago. I tried out the new version of NNW, but there are really no features compelling enough to get me to switch back. Now if they come out with native iPhone version I might change my mind (I'm still not thrilled with Reader's Phone interface).
Exactly my thoughts... they can win me back if they develop a native iPhone client that works the way I'd like it to. Until then, I'll stick with Google Reader (which I switched to from NNW shortly after the iPhone's release).
