Good for TWC for continuing to go on but with the channels allowing them.
If the group of people want to stay out, let them stay out.
I like several of the channels still be offered and I suspect TWC continuing to add more and more will eventually catch a nice niche if not much more.

The only place in North America where gas is ridiculously HIGH....QUEBEC. Taxes represent 30-35% of the cost of gas. *sigh* But at least our roads are smooth... Oh no wait, they are not.

the new x220 does the mba better in three items above today for a fact. time for apple to step it up again.
And is about twice as thick (up to ten times if measured from MBA's thinnest point) and weighs 0.7lb or 1.3lb more. Basically it's just a lighter 13" MBP since even MBP is thinner. No thank you.

The iPhone was also their highest rated smart phone and yet not recommended.
Nice of CR to pick the #1 selling tablet by a million miles over the competitors, but I still have little respect for them and take it with a grain of salt.

i like this idea about the home button, but i would hate to accidentally touch it. maybe u would have to hold it down or something because that is a fatal flaw. i like the idea of it being able to illuminate for messages that would be enough for me to disregard the "fatal flaw".

I didn't know about the discounting, makes it all the more sweeter! I don't follow Pop Factor, couldn't even name any previous winners. I doubt its a feature we will see on any future versions of Mac OS X.
It isn't happening on login, as there is a picture and a quicktime movie being opened as it is all happening.
And see how everything is coming in from off the screen.
It looks like some sort of animation they have made as a demonstration, not something they have done with the actual OS.
But it certainly is interesting, and the shadow effect is very cool.

He's very into simplicity and minimalism, just look at the way apple products are designed. I think its a conscious choice to wear a simple black turtleneck and jeans, even though he could easily afford any clothes he wanted.
I know of a famous professor in my field (Alan Heeger) who never wears anything but black at conferences. Whenever I wear a black shirt with a suit, I joke that I'm wearing my Heeger costume.

Just from my observation (I have no hard data or anything), it seems that at least 25% of new mac buyers are switchers. And from conversations I've heard around my office, I think that number will continue to grow. Apple is really turning heads with this transition to Intel. People like to know what they're getting in a machine (even if they don't really understand the components themselves) and Intel is a household name for the windows world. Good stuff. ;)

Hello everyone. I am making a highlight tape for my buddy. He gave me dvds from every game he played in last year. For me to get the dvd onto my computer I either use dvd remaster or handbrake to get it to a quicktime file..
My question is is there anyway that I can just rip like 30 second segments instead of the entire dvd to space some space. Ideally into a .mov. I would like to just put the timecode in and it rips that certain time.. Example : 1:05:07-1:06:23
