I didn't presser my parents about the bc and i took INS doctors appointment next week, thinking that dates are current for complete month why rush? so I can't file by tomorrow
You did the right thing. Nothing is going to retrogress atleast till the 15th of the month(this is when the Visa bulletin usually comes out).

Hello everyone,
Here is my status..someone please clarify as my immigration attorney has different answers each time
1) I am on H1B status and recently transfered to a new H1B Employer and i got query last week.
2) My Husband is holding a L1B Visa and its valid till Nov 2011.
3) Can i apply for L2 now(without COS) while waiting for H1B Approval?? This will allow me to change to L2 if something happens to H1.
4) If i have my H1B approval i wish to stay and work on H1B.if not i will be moving to L2(leave the country and comeback ??)
Please post your prompt answers.

Otherthan waiting whatever time they take to verify education details, may be you should try to transfer the case to consulate in India (or) withdraw the application from Vancouver and apply fresh in India. This is a standard and well known "watch out" issue when any foregin national applies for visa in a country other than their home country. Although not everyone faced this problem.

I wonder why he did not say they should be screened for their skin color, their Shakespearean English and BTW all the applications of legal residents and naturalized Citizens here who are non Europeans ought to be revisited to ensure they fit the new criteria. His (Tancredo's) predecessors on the other hand are "invaders" like he terms todays immigrants. I wish one day his kind of people who seem like they feel America is their divine gift from god get asked this question in a public forum.
I have yet to meet 1 citizen who speaks Shakespearean English... it certainly won't be anyone on Fox!

I have a same question. I have my EAD but my h1b is expiring in decmber 07 which i am not planning to extend. So do I need to take my EAD and current employment letter to DMV along with tons of other documents to prove the residence status.

I respectfully disagree with your comment on no full time MBA on H-1. I infact know this first hand as one of my friends finished his full time MBA on H-1. His company was nice enough to keep him on the payroll but gave him 2 yrs of leave of absence. He is now back working for the same company. The only down side to his approach was that he ended up losing 2 yrs of his H-1 but his goal was to come back and work for the same company, so he didn't care.

We were successful in getting good media coverage with flower campaign. Our San Jose rally is getting good regional coverage. Yes, we haven't had the expected success with national media yet but we are gaining traction at an amazing pace.
This is not a big corporation with some PR dept. that is working with hundred of employees writing press releases et al. Volunteers like you and me have to take on that action item if you want to see results otherwise please continue on with your discussion
That is absolutely right, it is our job to write to reporters and call them, if we want good publicity. Please digg, write to reporters, do not just wait on the sidelines and see if we have gotten any coverage. We wont get any by just being on the forums discussing.

People came upto him and asked him to arrange another rally next week. He answered it very well. Why dont people take ownership and organise things on their own, rather than just giving out suggestions and expecting other people to do the tough work.

Will the failure to file AR-11 have any adverse impact on my 485? Should I send in an AR-11 now for the last change of address even though it's late by 2 yrs? I'm very much confused.
If I file the AR-11 now. couple of questions.

2. For the section "I work for or attend school at : (Employer name or name of School)"
I will give the employer name. But in address do I give their address or the clients address where I work, My employer is in Texas whereas I'm at the client location in East coast.

I totally agree with you...recently I moved to CA and it took me close to 2 months before I had 3 offers...I can see it can be frustating, distracting but keep +ve and it will be rewaded.

Let me correct my post. If your I140 is approved and if your I485 is pending, you can come back to H1B status and get three years extension. One of my friend changed company after 6 months he god EAD and with new company(microsoft) he applied for H1B extension and his extension is approved for three and spouse is on EAD. So, that area is fluid you can jump from EAD to H1 and H1 to EAD. The rule is in AC21 section 104(c). You can google it and you will know.
