It would be neat to mod that somehow with Sims 2. Make it feel like you're "in the game." Then again, your guests may start to think that you "have no life." ;)
That would be cool.
Or you can have stars up, give that feeling of living on another planet.
:D

I remember reading an article online about Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. This is a new low-sulfur diesel (pretty much equivilent to European low-sulfur diesel) that is going to replace the current-grade US Diesel (which has 50 times more sulfur). Here's a link. (http://www.dieselforum.org/factsheet/ulsd.html)
It's supposed to be phased in starting next year, so maybe we'll see more diesels offered for sale in the near future. I think SUV's especially should start using these more fuel-efficient engines.

On a fully updated install of 10.4.3 on my latest rev iBook, I have never seen myspace freeze. I was going to use firefox until I found out that when I visited myspace in firefox CPU usage spiked. For some reason it doesn't do that in safari, so until that changes, I'm staying with safari.
But the point of all this was, I have no problems at all on safari.
I do not have WMP installed, therefore I get that plugin not found message, I just hit cancel, never once has myspace frozen on me.
That's probably why it's not frozen on you. The lack of the WMP plug-in doesn't cause nearly as many problems for any browser as it might. Firefox, Shiira, Safari, Camino--they all do it--since it's one place for all plug-ins on Mac OS X.
If I go to the profile pages of almost any of the Filipinos, they have literally hundreds of videos, one in each comment and they all play at once. It's possible to turn the things off or to stop the behaviour through settings but apparently, anything goes and if they don't see it, it's not happening.

who still uses OS9 and for what??
I still use it on my G3 Pbook Wallstreet. Namely because it only has 128MB of RAM and I'd like to throw some more of that in and get a processor upgrade before I decide to put OSX on it.

MyPhotoAlbum looks good, free, decent interface and access to full rez pictures. Only problems is that you can't use it to host images and it doesn't have any Mac upload tools so that is a bit slower. I can deal with the slow uploading and maybe I could use a free flickr account to host images to put directly in my blog. Not a big fan of mixing and matching but if I want to go the free rout I doubt I have a choice.
Thanks for the recommendations so far.

They are 30 pin SIMMs
Data Memory Systems (http://www.datamem.com/viewcat.asp_Q_C_E_919) has the 16 Mb SIMMs for $15 each
You have to install them 4 at a time.

Is there a college near by? Check to see if they offer any web classes and walk in there one day and say you are just there for the trial version of 30 days. They will understand. On day 28.5, take a copy of dreamweaver from one of their putes.
It should work.

I had a train ride from London to Aberystwyth (long!!!!) and I played "Syphon Filter" the entire way. It's an awesome game and likely my favorite so far on the PSP. I've also had a blast with Lumines, but it can be a bit stressful! Someone on here mentioned the DS. In ALL honesty. The DS Lite is a better machine than the PSP. You should fold her up and dip it in your pocket. Unlike the PSP which you always have to be careful with and wait for it to load. The only reason I still use the PSP is because of the video feature. I have PSPware and often put family guy episodes and such on it. But in the games department I find myself playing my girlfriend's DS Lite more than anything. I played Mario on the plane the other day for 4 hours. Either way, you'll have fun.

This happens to me too, it doesn't freeze or crash, but the video and audio won't play because they're designed for WMP 10.

Ga I wish Bartlesville schools had at least a few macs that weren't from 1998. If only they new what potential could come of putting a little bit of creativity into the classroom instead of working on cheap Dells with outdated software. I mean the computers at my school don't even have Cd burners when I was writing the school paper they expected us to use floppy discs all the time. At least Apple finally put an Apple Store in Tulsa can't wait for friday.

There's no way to protect images/pdf's etc as they should be read by the operating system and the programs.
It's fairly easy to protect a cd when it's accessed by a written program, for example with games where the loader takes care of the copy protection.
For example when someone has opened the PDF how will you prohibit that people cut-n-paste it?
I know I was not giving you a hint here about software, just outlining the problems you might get.

Apologies, the site is my own and is written in ASP. so no blogging etc, essentially something that will allow me to edit HTML page but with the ability to FTP download and reupload
If it's written in ASP then that means it's dynamic. Not going to be a whole lot you can do without using visual studio or something like frontpage.
I don't know of any WYSIWYG editors for the Mac that are familiar with ASP syntax.

FYI, unless you're planning on doing heavy-duty gaming (Halo, Quake 4, Doom 3 or the like), I'd stick to a passively-cooled graphics card; the fan noise will be pretty obnoxious, especially if you get an ATI 9800.
Also, think carefully about using that machine as a daily computer--they idleat well over 100W; leaving one of those on regularly will noticeably increase your power bill (unless you have free utilities :) ) Be aware that things like Netflix streamiing will never work on a PowerPC Mac.
With all that said, I'm glad you're enjoying your "new" toy! I loved my dual G5, and if it were still practical to have it, I would
