Yes, we've been using our marriage affidavit all along--including for getting PR and citizenship of country X.

Many members don't update their IV profiles after moving. I ended up calling two from IL !(while organizing MI chapter).

If Birth Certificate issue by Indian consulate then it should be ok, as it is from consulate
Birth certificate issued by Indian consulate is not accepted. It needs to be from original source. Submit as it is. If they ask later you can submit affidavit from Parents or nearest relatives.

Adding to the scenario above, what if the old company (which got I-140 approval) agrees to continue the GC process? In that case, can't we apply for H1 extension with Company B using approved I-140 with Company A? After all, GC is a future employment application

I am one who missed the 2007 july boat...even though i filed in 2007 (485) my I-140 denied and we lost ead,ap and every thing..
if they give at least EAD my wife can start work..i can also look direct client in this tough situaitons...its very diffucult to get mange in the work with H1b...
please every body share with more information regarding this.

Both the company C and company A was owned by one person. So even i was working with the company C, my payroll was under Company A. Right after I received my labor certificate from Company A, my lawyer suggested my transfer my H1b from Company C to company A. Then i received my h1b approval for company A in Jan 2007 to October 2008.

When you were getting paycheck from A, did you raise this issue?
Did you put this information in Employment History for I-485? What was your last entry into USA?

Lawyer received the I140 approval email filed on DEC 2006 yesterday. he has raised SR last month.
But I havent received any mail from CRIS and the USCIS website doesnt show the approval as well till now.
Has someone experienced like this before - lawyer getting it first and the uscis webisite took a long time to update if it did at all.
Any comments pls?

Hello Friends,
I am travelling to INDIA on Jan 28, 2009.
I am booking Lufthansa Airlines, travelling via Munich to Delhi.
Visa on passport is expired but I do have approval of H1B till 2010.
Do I need transit Visa? Did anybody travelled this route lately? Do you knowbody who has expereinced this lately.

What if you donot apply and you donot get EAD by Jan 08, you can still stay legally but wont be able to work without EAD.I will still be able to work if I have my H1B extension, right?
Check with your lawyer. Extension beyond 6 yrs is not available if you are eligible to apply for I485. If you are not able to apply for 485 because of retrogression, you can extend your H1 beyond 6 yrs (of course, it doesnt apply to you).Well, if I checked with the lawyer, I wouldn't be here, would I? :) I did not really understand your point. What if my I-140 is being processed and it takes them a hole lot of time for that and my legal status is expiring -- what am I supposed to do in that situation?

US govt. must get all their money from HBSC and then strip them of their US citizenship and deport them. You can do everything in America except cheat more than allowed on taxes. Everyone enjoys a little wriggle space with taxes...the IRS knows that about each filer. Certain things however cannot and should not be done. These evaders are nothing but THEIVES stealing from us ALL. :mad:

Ajay, did you receive 3 years of H1 extension? I am in my 5th year of initial H1B. wondering if I will receive 3 years extension when I file for H1B transfer with an approved 140. I am changing jobs using AC21 to join a new employer.
Let me know your exp. Did you also get new I-94 attached with H1B ext approval notice?
You will get 3 years H1B extension since ur 140 is already approved.
I94 will come with the I797A approval.
